TuDiabetes - A Community for People Touched by Diabetes

Was just sitting reading posts and got an idea. I think it would be a lot more fun to test if my meter did rolling numbers, like a slot machine while waiting for results. LOL just me?

Everybody likes the idea so much. I just did a suggestion to Roche makers of Accu-Chek Aviva, this is the meter I use. We'll see!

i would love a meter that could be everything: like a nice iphone with a test strip built in and a program that can graph your sugars and help you bolus. Then you could email your sugars to your doc or your friends, and surf the web on tudiabetes! I would also like it to tell me if other diabetics are near by, maybe even have a compatibility friend test to see how much you have common in foods, hobbies, diabetes likes (like food, or fave brand, or what you like to eat when your low). It would be also cool if you could have cool backgrounds or themes while you check your sugar with optional countdowns, smiley faces, noises, and even the rolling number casio idea

AND

it would talk in a sexy accent if i wanted to!
If we can design cells and meters to continually be smaller then why not combine the two?

Yeah, a meter that could suss other D's about the place. We could be like the next new cult to take over the world, only D's would know, ha ha. It's a wonder Danny hasn't been onto this............

I totally agree with the emailing function being built in.
I HATE having to write up my own spreadsheets to give to my doc when I see him.
It's tedious and annoying.

Well, while we're on the topic, why not also have the meter hooked up to a phone? That way, no matter what, we Ds will ALWAYS have our meters on us. I don't know 'bout you, but I have my phone practically sewn into my hip.

And it'd be discreet...

like a slot machine...

I guess if you were below 70/ 3.8 it could spit out candy... If you were above 180/10 it would spit out insulin.

Side note: I am really trying my best to be world friendly of late to include the mmol reading too. (patting myself on the back)

Or you could write blogs from it! J/K Danny

I think it would be great if it were like a little slot machine and each time you were between 80-120, it would payout in coins.
