My little Ms. Caroline, who I have known since 18 months, another reason I hate the D http://diabetesliving.yuku.com/topic/1176

How sad. So much stress thanks to D. Did she go into DKA because of the Lot 8 infusion sets?

Yep the MM Lot 8, grrrrr

Hey, I have known Caroline since she was 18 months old as well, hmm, odd. Anyways, this is truly the most unfortunate part of Diabetes for me.... reading about the Juvenile onset Type 1 Diabetics and what they (and lets not forget the mothers) have to go through at such a young age.

It's unimaginable how strong one must be to care for a loved one until one is in that situation. I wish you continued strength and all the best in caring for Caroline.

I am not the mother, but just a friend of the family who I have known since Caroline first was diagnosed.

Danny (above) and I know the whole family via the internet and now Ms. Caroline is 8.

I will definitely be sending positive thoughts Caroline's and Alyson's (the mother) way.

Prayers are sent to Caroline and her family. So thankful she is on the mend!!! This Lot 8 infusioj set fiasco is so unfortunate. I know now why I had such erratic sugars during the last year.: since changing to the new lot 2 of Quick-sets that were sent and to sure-t's, I have had no unexplained "No delivery" messages and unaccounted for lows or highs.....Many others have been going through turmoil because of this issue.....Can Medtronic be held legally responsible?

God Bless
Brunetta

Medtronic acts like it is no big deal and just send my boxes of quicksets back and THEY WILL SEND ME ONE BOX EVERY 3 WEEKS. The anxiety of not having a large quanity on hand is making me nuts along with everything else that is going on in my life.

I hope someone can afford to sue them.

Sweet Caroline:( How awful for her & her family. All good thoughts surround this beautiful child & her loved ones.

Holy crap, and I swear the girl on the phone was like no biggie, and I really did not research it.

Thanks for the sites.

Gonna inform Caroline's mother as she is fighting with MM to have them pay the deductible on her daughter's hospital stay, this is huge, especially the comments by other parents. :(

This is huge. I have a big ER bill after using the recalled infusion sets as well. I went back on some Lantus to keep from having a repeat of DKA episodes. Call a law office handling my case at 713-626-3700.
