New approach could treat MS, other autoimmune diseases like Type1

it sounds like a great breakthrough, but altering the immune system to teach T cells to "not attack" certain cells could cause them to "not attack" other cells like cancer cells. Pancreatic cancer is just about always fatal. This treatment would need to be many years proven before I would take it.
I'm not sure any one understands our immune systems well enough yet.
