Do you like it? Dislike it? Will it annoy people if I post these in all the categories? Maybe I should recuse myself from the categories that I don't post in? Which ones are those though? It seems like "general" would be a good place. Perhaps I should make the poll secret though? If you want to message me, feel free to do so.
If my email blows up, well, that's a risk I can run as I'm off last week and have minimal projects on my forecast. I'll run the poll maybe through Friday (1/2 day) and then see where we're at?
If you need to be "friends" to message me, the more the merrier.

Permalink Reply by Holger Schmeken on December 20, 2011 at 3:17pm I am a bit lost here. The new format of what? I am sure it is a stupid question.
Permalink Reply by Holger Schmeken on December 20, 2011 at 3:56pm So it must be the new slightly moderated layout. In a way it is already familiar and I think it has its benefits...
Permalink Reply by still_young_at_heart on December 20, 2011 at 3:27pm I liked the old blended "home page" for discussions but then I'm a stick in the mud.

Permalink Reply by kiva on December 20, 2011 at 3:29pm No . . .4 pages, 19 sub forums. I guess this is a right vs left brained thing and since I'm left-handed . . . .
Permalink Reply by Brian (bsc) on December 20, 2011 at 3:38pm Well, I don't like it. I follow pretty much everything and I want to see the most recent first. Perhaps part of it is me being old and resistant to change. But it wasn't broke. I can see how someone wanting to just look at a particular are might like it. But I'm just going to sit here a bit and sulk.
I like the bright colors and the squirrels that run across the screen.
Permalink Reply by Natalie ._c- on December 20, 2011 at 3:59pm I liked it better before when more discussions were on the list, and you didn't have to go to the actual discussions page to find out if you'd missed anything. I'm also the type who will comment on anything I find interesting, and don't like to have to search.
But I DO like the fact that the theme color is now blue! :-)
Permalink Reply by christy on December 20, 2011 at 4:18pm I liked the old format better too. Too much jumping around I think. Im sure it has some benefits, I just kinda like everything in one place.
Permalink Reply by Annabella on December 20, 2011 at 4:21pm I liked it better when list entries included the 1st sentence of the discussion, so I have a better idea if I am interested before selecting the entry.

Permalink Reply by Stemwinder on December 20, 2011 at 4:36pm I can see the value in both formats. This new format sorta unjumbles things with everything in nice order. It makes it easier to hone in on what interest someone the most. But.... I liked the way it was better. I liked that everything was out there for all to comment on. We have seen a lot of cross posting from people of different types and situtations and this was good. I'm afraid that we will loose some of that as people tend to concentrate on their type
