our friend travis grubbs and i were discussing pet peeves and we thought i would be a great idea to start up a forum for it. i thought at first to just limit it to diabetes, but thought i would be even more fun to widen the spectrum. so from mild to wild. from something as easy as everyday peeves to even something as silly as what your dog did today. let's have some fun and lay em out there.

my first pet peeve is my family's love of using their forks to get butter out of the butter bowl. knowing that it drives me nuts.

now it's your turn....what's your pet peeve?

Yeah, there needs to be an acronym dictionary somewhere. When I read an article, by the time I've gotten to the part where they use an acronym, I've already forgotten the name of whatever it is they're talking about, and have to go back and rescan the beginning. It IS annoying!!

But, Judith, I WILL remember AFDD -- too appropriate!!! LOL!
mine is bad spelling as well.
how hard is it to write/type colour. there's a U in there after the O for a reason.
people that say "we are doing such and such" then walks off. if its "we" then "we" should do it not just me.
my eldest dog who barks for no reason.
people that ask stupid questions and don't listen to the answers.
bike rubber costing double the car equivalent.
petrol stations charging more for something and saying the cost is reflective of the cost of getting it there. how's that work?
spica-----I commissioned an original work from a composer 45 years ago---we called it Colour Suite (about the pscho/emotional manifestations of "colors"). But this is the US of A and the "u" in there is considered contrived. I never heard the end of it.....

I'll match you your eldest dog barking and raise you one with my eldest cat unable to find the cat box!!!
mine finds the cat box but now because she is getting old i have to change it everyday. the urine smell is so strong. she's drinking the right amount of water and i haven't changed her food so the vet said it's just from her getting older, she's fine.
another peeve is the darn computer misspelling my words. REALLY, i hit the keys but the words come out spelled wrong. we all know it isn't me who is hitting the keys wrong, ergo, it's the computer. you should see how badly it spells when i am trying to type with just the monitor light. for some reason it needs the lamp light to spell correctly and then of course it still messes up.
People who don't use turn signals.

People who use the turn signal AFTER they start to change lanes.
Oh yes, Terry!!!
poeple who change lanes when there isn't any room for them to change to.
Quick set infusion sets that kink.
My daughter has been using them for months and they have been great.
Yesterday was her birthday. You know great food and cake.
Well we have had 2 sets kink going in in a row and now she is on the couch sick as a dog from high ketones.
Changed site againg and gave her insulin MDI.
Fingers crossed the new set didn't kink too.
People talking on their cell phones in a public restroom. It makes me want to make loud grunting noises to ruin their conversation!
When people use their phones in inappropriate places I repeat their conversation out loud just to make sure everyone can hear.
Great idea!
Terry and Aimee, in my still new personnae as The Crochety Old Lady With a Cane, I have gotten quite brazen on our wonderful light rail system about saying to the cell phone screechers---"did you want me to participate in that conversation?"-----or I simply start to participate, ie: "No way, did Fred really say THAT?! Oh no. What shall we do?"---Loudly, of course.
