Hi shoshana. I have slow digestion (not full-blown Gastroparesis), and also Pernicious Anemia and Celiac that affect digestion. Probiotics are very important to keep my digestion stable, and eliminated my lactose intolerance. I take the expensive kind, kept in a refrigerator at the local health food store. I also take DanActives (a yogurt drink) for lows, and one a day with or without lows.
A good probiotic has another benefit. When one takes antibiotics, the probiotics help to protect you from getting C Difficile afterwards, one very nasty bug.
