I used MM CGMS for several years, but now use Dexcom. When using MM CGM, I only used my stomach and legs. I hadn't even thought about using my arms at that point.
After switching to Dexcom, I heard from other Dexcom users that they had good results in their arms, and gave it a try. So now I have used Dexcom in my arms many times, and get very good results. Reception, comfort and adhesive worked great for me with Dexcom.
I would say give it a try. Assuming you use IV-3000 or similar to secure the MM Transmitter and sensor, it should be fine.
You could also post in the Minimed group, as there may be others that can comment on personally using their arms with MM CGM.
I have used my arm ( left only ...I had right breast surgery in 1984 ...arm is swollen) and have seen elite athletes use arms ...I need assistance to remove needle ftom the left arm .
I used sof-sensors in my arms when using the Guardian. I needed help with insertions and found the sensors painful, but they were accurate and lasted a fairly long time. I never tried wearing them anywhere other than my arms. They stuck on reasonably well.
I use my tricep area all the time. The sensor is out of the way and I get fewer lost sensor errors. I found this to be true while I was on Dexcom as well. The MM sensor and transmitter are bigger though so I use an iv3000 to keep it covered. It works nicely. I change it after 6 days weather it has crapped out or not. The only trouble is retracting the needle on a weird angle and 1 handed. It takes some practice.
