TuDiabetes - A Community for People Touched by Diabetes

I have just received an email from Saundra Barragan's daughter:
"I am sorry I don't know how to work this site, and I guessed at my mom's password. I am hoping this is the Manny she always talks to. Well I have bad news, my mom Sandy Barragan passed away tonight. Sunday about 5 pm March 1. She wanted me to make sure that all her friends were informed. She loved all of you very much and talked about everyone all the time. When she was feeling bad or sick or just unhappy everyone on here made her feel better and I thank you for it. She often told me a little about all of you and how much you all helped her through. Just keep her in your prayers."

I am speechless and so very sad with this news. After an episode back in December, during which she ended in the hospital, she came back full of energy and back to her own self: you can see on her profile page she was active as of yesterday helping everyone out.

We learned to love you, Saundra! You will always live in our hearts. Please pray for us from wherever you are now.

From my very first day on TuDiabetes Saundra made a powerful impression on me – her personality, heart and positive attitude really shone through in her posts here, and her compassion and intelligence, I know, were appreciated by many.

Thank you for sharing your life with us here, Saundra. You will be remembered with a smile.

My Deepest Sympathies to the family;
Take comfort in knowing that your mother helped so many people with her words of wisdom,,,made people laugh with her sharp wit and humor....and comforted so many with her generous and big heart. She will never be forgotten,,,and will always be missed by many. Take flight and spread your wings Saundra,,,you still have alot to do.
God Bless,
Deb
