TuDiabetes - A Community for People Touched by Diabetes

I have just received an email from Saundra Barragan's daughter:
"I am sorry I don't know how to work this site, and I guessed at my mom's password. I am hoping this is the Manny she always talks to. Well I have bad news, my mom Sandy Barragan passed away tonight. Sunday about 5 pm March 1. She wanted me to make sure that all her friends were informed. She loved all of you very much and talked about everyone all the time. When she was feeling bad or sick or just unhappy everyone on here made her feel better and I thank you for it. She often told me a little about all of you and how much you all helped her through. Just keep her in your prayers."

I am speechless and so very sad with this news. After an episode back in December, during which she ended in the hospital, she came back full of energy and back to her own self: you can see on her profile page she was active as of yesterday helping everyone out.

We learned to love you, Saundra! You will always live in our hearts. Please pray for us from wherever you are now.

May you find peace as you go with God, Saundra...

Saundra would tell us don't cry for her..but crying I am. Joyous tears for her that she has like many angels been called home, and sad tears for the loss deep inside for a friend whom I've only ever cyber-hugged--but made such an enormous impact. It seems somehow fitting it is storming outside..and that the rain helps mask the tears,

Rest in peace and may you family find strength in the outpourings from your frineds.

maybe you'll even ride one of the drops of rain down...you'd have a hoot!

Dear Saundra:

I can't believe you're gone. When I received Debb's message I cried.....and I will again. You were such a loving and giving presence here. I believe this feeling will always remain for us who Love you. I truly am Glad, that you were able to make it home for Christmas and that you continued with your caring messages although I know it was difficult. They mean So much!!

Go rest with God's Love until we meet again. Thank you for being my Friend, Special Angel. Warm hugs and kisses.

My heartfelt sympathy to Saundra's Family.

One journey ends and a better one begins. It is up to our memories to make sure she never really dies.

Saundra lived her life with great strength and continuously was seeking to support and encourage others! In her memory, let's hold our heads high (even if our eyes are filled with tears) and continue supporting each other. She would want nothing less!!

Saundra's absence from our community will be ever-present, but her presence remains in all of our hearts... so she lives on.

Heartfelt condoloences to her family!

We beseech Thee, O Lord,
in Thy mercy,
to have pity on the soul of Thy handmaid Saundra;
do Thou, Who hast freed her
from the perils of this mortal life,
restore to her the portion of everlasting salvation.
Through Christ our Lord,

Amen.

We have lost a great and loving friend. We are all less because of Saundra's passing. I am so sad.
