TuDiabetes - A Community for People Touched by Diabetes

I have just received an email from Saundra Barragan's daughter:
"I am sorry I don't know how to work this site, and I guessed at my mom's password. I am hoping this is the Manny she always talks to. Well I have bad news, my mom Sandy Barragan passed away tonight. Sunday about 5 pm March 1. She wanted me to make sure that all her friends were informed. She loved all of you very much and talked about everyone all the time. When she was feeling bad or sick or just unhappy everyone on here made her feel better and I thank you for it. She often told me a little about all of you and how much you all helped her through. Just keep her in your prayers."

I am speechless and so very sad with this news. After an episode back in December, during which she ended in the hospital, she came back full of energy and back to her own self: you can see on her profile page she was active as of yesterday helping everyone out.

We learned to love you, Saundra! You will always live in our hearts. Please pray for us from wherever you are now.

Saundra was a wonderful person within this community. She picked people up and gave out wonderful advice.

It is sad that she is gone. She was the first person to reachou out to me and give me some good advice. Her presence will be missed but not forgotten.

Her family is in my prayers.

Saundra, as I am sad that you are no longer here with us and with your family, I am so glad that you left in peace, and wherever you are you are with us.

We love you so much, and I will never forget your kind words to me and to Manuel... and to all of us. The way that you let all of the people on this community know that what we do is important. Your words had touched our lives in more than one way.
