Does anyone else have a "seasonal vice"?  For summer, mine is beer (gluten-free) and barbecue potato chips (not low carb).  Also, but not to the same degree, fresh summer salads and grilled foods.

Beer - well that's an all year round vice for me. Haha. I just enjoy craft beer and love trying new brews. As for the GF beer, which one do you like? DH is GF we are Always looking to try new beers for him. I also adore watermelon, strawberries and raspberries in the summer.
I must admit I like beer all year round, too, but in the summer it is essential. My favorite is Bard's.
It was ice cream, until I recently developed an allergy to milk :( Now it's coconut milk ice cream :)
Ice cream for me, too. I like a bit of Edy's French Vanilla in my morning mocha latte, and Edy's Coffee ice cream with a little real coffee for dessert later in the day. (I had a problem with lactose until I started taking probiotics.) I also like coconut milk ice cream, but it's harder to find.
Once in a while a small glass of real lemonade. I am sorry, Crystal lite is not the real deal as it doesnt have that sour/sweet combination I so love and miss.
For summer, I have to say mine is Crabs!!! And corn on the cob.....I also love Kettle Corn.....the kind that you can get at craft fairs and festivals.....I love that stuff!
If blue crabs are bad, I am going to die.....:)
I'm right there with ya!!!
I really like Crab Louis (ala Julia Childs). Happy summer, All.
During hunting season, its bisquits, since you just about can't go grab a quick breakfast before going in the field without it being a "something and bisquit." Sausage bisquit, bacon bisquit, steak bisquit, chicken bisquit. You want someone in the deep south to look at you like you are totally insane? Go to a service station with food at 4:45 a.m. and say "Gimmie a sausage bisquit without the bisquit." :)
I make blueberry muffins now, pumpkin muffins in the fall and cold, dark days of winter. I make little ones, though, and add some teff or coconut flour to be lower on the glycemic index. Maybe our choices are regional as well as seasonal.
