I was thinking that I should starting today, each day draw a blue circle on my cheek for diabetes (I did the same thing for breast cancer awareness ) but on nov 14 I would do the circle and write national diabetes day on my other cheek and write I am diabetic on my cheek with the circle. Thanks for responding if you can!

Great idea! Let us know how it goes.
What an "activist" move! I actually think you will find that simply having a blue circle is enough. People will wonder about it and ask. Also you won't be able to write "National Diabetes Day" on your cheek and really have people be able to read it without seriously invading your personal space. So at that point, why don't you just tell them why you are displaying the circle.

I suppose this means that you are "out."

Way to go.
Can't wait to hear how it goes today shae, let us know!
I can't say whether you should or not (that's your decision), but if you do, you're my hero!
Wow! Gutsy girl! Hats off to you! When I was in school I would definitely get in trouble since the nuns running it are pretty stringent. Its pretty cool idea though :)

I too would have gotten in trouble, but that was A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.....:)

Love the reference ;) Thaaaaaaaaanks for the memoriessssss
Of course you should!
Yes!!!

I think it would be a great idea!!!...What I like about it is it will show people you dont have to be old or over weight to have diabetes, like most people think...My dad just ask if I could find him a shirt or a pen to wear for me, so he can bring awareness. Not really the same as a painted face but still gets the point across...lol
