I was thinking that I should starting today, each day draw a blue circle on my cheek for diabetes (I did the same thing for breast cancer awareness ) but on nov 14 I would do the circle and write national diabetes day on my other cheek and write I am diabetic on my cheek with the circle. Thanks for responding if you can!

You would certainly make people aware by doing that - I am sure most people would be asking about it. Will you get in trouble for doing that though?
No I won't get I'm trouble
That's pretty hard-core! I would think that people would ask, at least "is that a TATTOO!!" and that word would get around by day 14?
Your Mr. Dad side is showing!
I have tattoos however I dont have one on my face. I know a couple of people with cool ones ("made in USA" and "impermanence" in Sanskrit) on their necks but it will probably be a while before I go there?
But hers is not going to be a permanent one and she will wash it off when she is done making her point.
I know, I know, I just figured that that would be a likely question with teenagers, wanting to know 1) exactly how hard-core the original poster was and 2) how did she achieve complete mastery of her parents to get them to let her get a tattoo on her face?
In other words, don't give my daughter any ideas!
I think it shows self confidence and that you are comfortable with who you are. Raising awareness is a huge plus, but the Mr. Dad in me wouldn't want you to get in trouble:)
The Mrs. Mom in me says... if you're comfortable fielding tons of questions, being talked about, etc... go for it!!! To reassure the Mr Dads out there, maybe let your guidance counselor or someone know beforehand what you're planning. You go girl!!
Thx guys I'm gonna tomm.
Nice! Post some pics!! It's perhaps not as public but here's my tattoo!
