After starting Symlin I can't stay awake yet studies show only 1% have have this side effect. Does anybody else experience this or am I developing a case of narcolepsy? Thanks!

Nope, haven't had that happen. You might be the 1%! Btw I haven't found a lot of responders to Symlin questions on here, so don't be discouraged if you don't get much. You don't say how long you are on Symlin, but I know the other side effects are supposed to decrease as you adjust to the med, so hopefully that one does to. The only trouble I've had with Symlin is figuring out insulin dosing - it took me most of a month, but I'm pretty much there now. I got very few responses on here, but even the ones I did turned out to be somewhat different from my own solutions. I think in general the YMMV quotiant is really great with Symlin.
Thanks, Zoe. Yes, Symlin throws a whole new variable in dosing. It has decreased my appetite, now if I could just stay awake.
I feel that the Symlin does make me feel tired, but I just thought that it was me imagining things!
Wow you might be in the 1% too! Please describe your fatigue. I feel like going back to bed after I eat and have coffee. You too?
Somebody's got to make up that 1%...I guess that's us! It makes me drowsy, as well!
