I did see the medingo patch, along with the nano pump from Dibiotech, and the Australians were supposed to come out with a few prototypes. Medingo looks great, though I am not sure if it is full featured. Is Medingo coming to market soon? I think it is an Israeli product; don't know if we could get it here in the US (FDA) for a while.

You saw it? Is it intended to stay on for three months like this says?

The FDA just approved it yesterday. When i was researching yesterday no one seemed a picture of it. If you google it you can get a lot of hits on it. I was interested about the 3 month thing to. I hope more information comes out soon

What has been explained to me is that the patch part has two sections. The electronics, which lasts 90 days and the cannula which must be changed every 3 days. So the device does not stay on you for 3 months, but the electronics part of the patch lasts for 3 month, you just replace the other section, snap them together and reapply.

Don't be surprised if the endo doesn't know much about the Solo. My doc hadn't heard about it and they do diabetes research at his office all the time. His practice is endocrinologists and rheumatologists and he called in the head endo to see if he knew anything about the Solo. The endo said he knew there was FDA approval and he has an appointment to meet with a rep in a couple of weeks. I think Medingo is still putting together their sales and customer service force. If you are interested in getting info ASAP, Medingo will be doing one more trial before the pump goes on sale and they might choose you as a participant. Sign up today at http://www.solo4you.com/?page=OurCommunity They will be choosing participants from people who are part of their community.
