Just wondering what people collect, if any.

I have a really bad habbit in collecting Glucose Meters. Yes!!! Glucose Meters even though I don't need them. I see an ad on TV advertising for a free Glucose Meter and I'm at the website signing up for a new one. At the Expo, I came home with 7 new Glucose Meters, different brands.

My family thinks I'm nuts. I just tell them, everyone else collects something, why can't I collect Glucose Monitors?

Are you talking things Diabetes related or things we collect like maybe hats or figurines?
I don't see anything wrong with collecting glucose meters, as long as you aren't using all of them at the same time :)

do you have a favorite?
I guess collecting can go for anything......

Do to I"m a computer freak, and Netwrok Admin, I collect computers and computer parts. My secret, I go dumpster jumping, and curb shopping on clean up week and rescue all the homeless computer equiptment. Heeee heeeee
I've been collecting the OneTouch Mini color. At first it was the Accu-Check, cause I was using the accu-check meters, due to having the insulin pump, I use the OneTouch meter that the pump uses, but use the Multi-Clix Lancets. It started when I lost my Multi-Clix Device that I needed to replace it, so I ordered a free one. Since then, I've beed additected in ordering them.

Up-Date: I got another meter today. I'm testing on the iPro and now have the OneTouch Ultra 2. I already have 5 of these!!!! My Educator told me I can have it after the testing.
diabetes wise---i collect bruises and pin holes. i also seem to be collecting meters. not on purpose.

regular collecting---i collect ceramic blue jays and white ceramic cats. both are hard to find so my kids can't inundate my house with them. lol!!!!
Diabetes related: used test strips, empty test strip vials

Otherwise: jazz music downloads/cds, fountain pens, cufflinks, memories

LOL: debts, dust, extra pounds around my middle
I'm becoming a meter collector myself. Free is fun. Nice to have them laying all over the place. Just need to remember the different tolerances on them all. My regular meter matches up with lab tests, all the other brands are off...

Non diabetic...XL dust bunnies. especially on the stairs!
better watch out for those they can trip you and make you fall down stairs.
i know from past experience.
