Tim Factor
I can't help but notice how many Tims there are in here.
I changed my name to Timothy just to keep things a little different,
Iv'e seen 2 Timmys too,
Is there a type 1 Tim factor?
I rarely run into anyone else with the name, but on here it's everywhere,
This may be a new research study,

I would like to thank any of you who have changed your names for today. It's a heartfelt gesture of solidarity towards those of us who have been cursed with the name Tim.
At least now we have an explanation for the recent diabetes epidemic.

When I was growing up and in school (1970's), there were usually 3 or 4 Tim's in every classroom.
A useful website for baby name popularity by year: http://www.ssa.gov/OACT/babynames/
Timothy seems to have peaked in popularity as a baby name in the 60's (I'm guessing you were born in that era too.) Not that it's rare today.
As to "Timmy": I remember my very first day in Kindergarten. This is perhaps one of my few early memories. The teacher was calling out attendance on the first day. The teacher called for "Tim" and I didn't think she meant me because up until then everyone had always called me "Timmy"! On a different discussion site board I go by "Timmy Tim Tim".

I tried changing my name to Tim but there are too many Tims here and it is mega confusing. I actually dont know anyone who used the full name. i was born in the 60s so that explains why my mother named me a very common name for back then.
STILL for TIM day we need to offer warnings about the increased incidence of Type 1 Tim complex. PEOPLE NEED TO BE WARNED ! we could set up an organization to start an informational campaign.
We can start if all the Tims on here will post a pained or sad pic so we can use them as warnings to expectant families.
Don't let THIS happen to your baby !
77 Tim's do not account for the Tim's that don't use it in their screen names.
How many total members do we have and we can compare it to the general public.
