True/False? Don't know how old you are, but I've had diabetes for 44 years yesterday.

The next person has/had a mother or father with T1 diabetes.
False, my father had T2. Both his parents had it and my maternal grandmother had it.
...hey Unicornzzz come back and finish your post please...gotta keep it moving.

The next person has someone in their family who is a Type 2 and didn't know it for along time.
that's true. my dad's family lives in maine. I live in western ny. i haven't seen them in years. when i found out i was a T-2 my mother told me that a few of my dad's brother's and one sister were T-2's.

the next person had strawberry shortcake last night and was it ever good.
False, but I did have about a cup of very sweet, cool canteloupe.

The next person can't explain how ketoacidosis occurs.
(But if they can, the WILL explain it in their response!)
I'll go with a False on that one.

Sometimes due to Insulin deficiency in a Diabetic Person, their cells do not have sufficient glucose to satisfy their metabolic demands. Therefore fatty acids are broken down for energy in the liver and
kidneys which produces ketones(ketoacidosis). Give or take.

The next Person takes more than 40 units of Insulin daily.
False because I'm scared of needles ;) I need to pick one up though for real.

The next person has actually had to use glucagon at one point.
