Please join the TuDiabetes community for a live presentation, followed by question-and-answer period, by Carolé Mensing, RN, MA, CDE, FAADE, Manager, Education and Clinical Services, Strategic Initiatives at Joslin Diabetes Center, Boston.

Carolé (Pronounced Carol-lee) Mensing has a long history of experience in diabetes as a clinician, educator, editor, author and active diabetes volunteer.

Currently, Ms. Mensing serves as the Chair/ President of the local coordinating body of the American Association of Diabetes Educators (AADE) and is a member of the local Boston Area ADA Board, member of the national Volunteer
Community Leadership Committee for ADA, and has just completed a third year as board member of the American Association of Diabetes Educators (AADE).

Her most recent publication as editor is,The Art and Science of Diabetes Self-Management Education Desk Reference - second Edition. In addition, Ms. Mensing has served as the President, Health Care and Education for the American Diabetes Association.

Before joining the Joslin Diabetes Center in Boston, Ms. Mensing served as Clinical Nurse Specialist and Coordinator of the Diabetes Program at the University of Connecticut, Farmington, and Nurse clinician at Childrens’ Hospital
in Hartford, CT. She has also worked with the highly regarded diabetes program at International Diabetes Center, Group Health and Health Partners, Minneapolis, MN in pediatrics, and adult medicine clinics, and was the camp nurse for DAYPOINT Camp for 11 summers.
