Hi Cat! I quit smoking on dec 24th 2010. I did this because I was recently diagnosed with type 2 and I really dont want any of my body parts to get cut off. I never was much of a drinker but an occasional glass of red wine with a meal can help lower colesterol and help with digestion. When sipped slowly with a meal it has never bothered my BG very much.
congrats! Great will power! Happy New Year!
thanks.. it is sooo worth it!
Great job quitting smoking. I've cut down considerably - 4 or 5 a day. I do skip somedays also - so I'm getting there. Nicely done for you.
I don't smoke but I do drink red wine - usually "big" cabs, zins or pinots. It seems ok unless I hit the more dessert/port type wines, then it can affect my bg levels.
Some red wine once in a while, but I don't smoke.
