OK so I figured probably better as a discussion than a series of comments on the wall.

The HCG was 45. They think they caught the pregnancy just a few days after implantation. The progesterone was 50 which is really good. Both of those numbers are 12 days after ovulation.

My gyn would like me to get more bloodwork in 1 week.

I am slowly calming down about the appointment situation. But I really feel like I need to sit down and have the ok so your having a baby talk with guidelines. I know I am aware of them all but I am just panicky.

Things seem fine so far. I am hoping so as I am very nervous since we lost a pregnancy between week 5 and 6 and I am between week 4 and 5 now.

I will post more as I know more.

Glad to hear everything seems to be going well. :) I think I would be nervous too, especially after wanting to be a mother for so long. Continued good luck to you! :)
Thanks Lori. I see.my endo tomorrow and I have another ultrasound Tuesday.
Just developed bringt pink spotting. No cramps. Please send prayers. I am freaking out.
Thoughts and prayers are with you. xo
It appears to have stopped. Touched base with my OB. He said so long as I do not have cramps or heavy bleeding to hang in there. If either of those show up to contact the on call doc. He was reassuring, reminded me the baby was measuring to date at the ultrasound last week, the heartbeat was strong and I had great progesterone levels. In the mean time he said take it easy and rest up. I already had a scheduled ultrasound on Tuesday so we will check in then.

Had an 8 week ultrasound today. The baby is measuring 16.3 mm and had a strong heartbeat. It was very reassuring. My husband got to be there as well so that was really nice. Based on that and my ovulation date they are sticking with a June 19 EDD. Although they have already warned me I will likely go a week or two early.

I think I am slowly starting to relax a little.

I see my OB Nov 21 for a 10 week appt. I suspect they will try to little and count the heartbeat at that time.

Thank you for all the support and prayers.

OMG my computer hasn't updated me on any of this thread!! Grrr, Lots of hugs for everything I missed, and many more so glad you feel you can relax a little more now. All sounding good, hope that 10 weeks is just as splendid x x x

How are things going lately? Hope all is well, and progressing nicely.

The 10 week appointment went well. They did an abdominal ultrsound rather than the transvaginal so the picture was not as good. but we could see our little one squirming. The dr saw the heartbeat but did not measure it, but assured me it was strong. He did not give us a copy fot he ultrasound so I was a little bummed but there should be plenty more.

I am 13 weeks today. It is really hard not having seen any ultrasounds for reassurance since 10 weeks. I am a bit high strong these days. I have an ultrasound this coming monday I will be just shy of 14 weeks. I am still really nervous. I will likely announce things at work after that.

I have not had terribly strong symptoms so it is often unnerving but i am blessed and all seems to be going smoothly.

Rachel, please know you are in my thoughts and prayers.

So I had my 14 week appointment today. He asked about my TSH (0.1), Free T4 (1.4) and A1c (5.5) as of Dec 5. He was very happy with thouse numbers.

They used the doppler and it took probably 5-10 minutes but they found the heartbeat. The dr said it was good, did not give an exact heart rate. I asked about an ultrasound but he said everything was fine and he would see me in 4 weeks. He said it would be a pretty quiet appt, some blood drawn and check the baby but that was about it.

I was a little disappointed becuase I really wanted to see the baby, I kinda wanted to frame the ultrasound for my Mom and MIL for Christmas. I guess I am still just nervous and i think seeing the baby would have helped put my nerves at ease.

I will go for the anatomy scan, I think with the perinatologist at 20 weeks.

I told my boss who was suprisingly supportive. But all in all, I guess things are quiet and uneventful here. THANK GOD. I will likely announce via facebook Friday after school is out to avoid all the drama at work.

Thanks all for your support

Glad to hear all is going well! Good luck with the BIG REVEAL. :)

Hey all

Monday I had my 18 week appt. Got to hear the heartbeat again. Very reassuring.

Yesterday was my 36th birthday. I also received the results of my quad screen.

I know this may sound weird but I was/am actually pretty relieved. There was no indications of an increase risk for Trisomy 18. So that is really good.

I was most worried about spina bifida and neural tube defects since the diabetes puts the baby at higher risk. My results came back as normal no higher than anyone else. I was very excited to learn that.

My down's risk was 1:271 which is technically high risk (the cut off is 1:295) but it is actually lower than my age based risk alone 1:215. I apparently have the risk a woman a full year younger than me. So I take that as good news. I have an anatomy scan with high risk perinatologist on Jan 31 already so I figure we can make some decisions based on the anatomy scan as to whether or not to agree to an amnio.

I am way too calm about this? I guess I just figured I was high risk for Down's based on my age and I am pretty happy to hear it is was lower than my age. .
