YES, I will have to have a Vitrectomy in my right eye. No choice. The Retinal Specialist is a very nice man, I truly like him and trust his expertise. Surgery is being scheduled and I will go to my Primary Doctor very soon to have blood work and EKG prior. Laser Surgery in my left eye in two weeks as well.
I have educated myself on the Vitrectomy and I am fine with having it done. I would lose vision and possibly blindness in that eye if I do not have the surgery....SO, that is a no brainer :)
I am overwhelmed with gratitude......I would not have the strength I do now if it wasn't for ALL of YOU, my friends whom I just love and treasure, admire. Saying "Thank You" doesn't seem to be enough. All of you mean more to me than I could ever express.
I look forward to being able to see without this "Web" of blood that I have had for the last 13 months.
The Doctor told me that this isn't my fault......"You were dealt a hand, called "Diabetes".
Grateful for this Technology. and most of all my friends and loved ones. Thank You.
Oh sure - ya let Gerri go with her eyes uncrossing, but do I get any rest from trying to type with my fingers crossed all this time? Nooooo!
All day long I'm trying to stay ahead of the taxing year ends and all while managing without the use of my pretzeled pinkies, tangled toes and locked legs ... but no sign of relief for MY crossing efforts. Harrumph.
LOL, Bikette...you can uncross those lovely fingers. xo
I'm glad to hear this. I know that you were really worried about the setback of not having prompt relief. Sometimes our bodies can just do amazing things.
BSC...yes, it is amazing what our bodies can do....I am very happy. Thank You!!
Thank you Linda...wow, beautiful picture. xo
Happy news, and a big relief for you I'm sure. You can watch the super bowl complete with commercials on Sunday!
Trudy, I di watch the game. I am seeing clearer, but a bit off set to my good eye...kinda a double vision thing. I shut my bad eye when I watch TV or use the computer. Thank you for your message. xo
Like looking through a book, and each page is a little bit cleaner and brighter than the last one? SO nice to watch the positive progression! :-)
Natalie, yes...it is amazing. This morning at 2:30 am I woke up and needed some air...went to garage and sat with my dog and WOW...so clear. Just sat and smiled. xo
Robyn- So glad your eye is continuing to clear. I have a good feeling you will not need that 2nd surgery. You will be able to clearly see the beautiful flowers you plant this spring. Have a great weekend !!!
Cat, I agree, no 2nd surgery:) You are so very sweet, looking forward to planting a zillion flowers this spring. I look around now and can make out the color of the sky...so blue. NICE :) xo
