TuDiabetes - A Community for People Touched by Diabetes

Today I was on my way to the movies, and really noticed the beautiful green, lush grape vineyards. I was amazed just how beautiful they were against the blue sky.
I thought to myself how "grateful" I was to have my eyesight. It hit me hard....for some reason. I was just curious as to what others are grateful for each day.

i am grateful that the care of a diabetic has improved over the years. when i hear the horror stories from those who have had it for so many years, it makes me realize just how much worse it could be for me. the phrase "you've come a long way baby" comes to mind. while we still have tons of room for improvement we are very fortunate that we don't have to do the things they had to do and that we are so much better informed then they were. the blood, sweat and tears of those before us has made our lives better. we also are making things better for our future generations.

I am grateful today that I woke up when I had a hypo at 2:30 AM!! And that I just bought a big jug of apple juice :)

That I made it home safely after having a bad hypo on the bus. As I was leavng work I felt low, but my smarty pants mind said "you're never low this time of day" so I didn't test. Halfway home I as at 32. Now I'm at 70 and still feel really low and am sitting at the puter eating a cold crab cake with my fingers, and it's crumbling all onto the floor around me. Bah humbug.

Oh Kathy. Sorry this hapened to you today. You must have worked extra hard for your company today and expended alot of calories. Good for you! I am grateful you are better cause Smalltown Minnesota doesn't need a low blood sugared raving lunatic running around the streets! Ask the EMS in my town about low BS raving lunatics and they will say "You must be talking about Mark." Hope you have a relaxing evening and I will talk to you later.

I am grateful for Robyn's page "What were you Grateful for today?" It is the best and most uplifting page on this board. Robyn, do you realize what effect you have on the people that surround you?

I am grateful today for heat and a roof over my head. It is cold and dreary and my heart breaks to think of those who are homeless. Wish I could give them all warmth, shelter and food.
