Whats the most annoying comment you've ever gotten about diabetes?

I've gotten quite a lot of really annoying and sometimes even hurtful comments about my diabetes...

When i told a family friend who (by the way) is an assistant nurse about my condition she said "really? but you will get better right? it will go away when you start taking care of yourself?"
and i said "no, i will always be a diabetic and i will actually get worse since my body will eventually stop producing insulin all together"
and she still kept insisting that I would get better in time and that my condition would go away...

i couldnt believe she knew so little

u r a strong soul...u rose above what she called you...words hurt so much.....we all have to fight a little harder but I know I have one beautiful child and now a grandchild despite being told I would never have children....I was very lucky to have my child she is a miracle and miracles do happen...she and I are both still here thanks to god....keep going...
Right on the nail, surprising how many people you meet have no idea what diabetes is does and think you will get better eventually,I guess I am on phase three, tablets insulin now insulin and victoza and still I meet people who shy away from me I have to say it is not infectious, although it might be in your genes, nice to read your article best wishes twiddlemthumbs
There are some REAL piece of work out there....isn't there!!!!
yeah no kidding huh...boy and some em u meet are just wacked out lol with there thoughts on diabetes
When I am on a doctors appointment or so.. people here iin portugal have an expressiont "As melhoras", meaning "get well"

Get Well?! I am a type 1 diabetic. It doesn't get any better!!!
oh man i had so much of that from the company that used to manage my FMLA leave for work. they had to end every call with "we wish you a speedy recovery from your diabetes" and when i said something about there not being a recovery, the person on the phone had to repeat the statement. i know it was part of a required script but man, it was infuriating.
People telling me to just eat healthy, and not worry about carbs, just sugar. lol
oh wow that is like wth they know nothing about carbs lol....yeah sometimes u just got to smile at them and go on
I was recently hired at a company whose main goal I don't even support..(Mcdonalds...I don't support the consumption or sale of horrendously fatty and highly caloric food) and while at my orientation, the owner of the restaurant asked me in front of the rest of the group if I had any weight restrictions...Thinking this an odd question I moved closer to her and replied, Well I can't lift more than about 50 or so pounds... and She said no, no, no, since you're "PREGNANT" I thought maybe you did...all I said was actually, I'm not pregnant, it's called a dia-belly. haha. (I'm about 5' 7" and maybe oh idk, 8 pounds overweight. this comment coming from a morbidly obese, horridly rude woman that I STILL cannot stand.)
Oh my gosh....did you not itch to tell HER that she obviously didn't have any weight restrictions!! What was that all about anyway?...a power trip no less!!
omg I think I might have muttered something but still geez not even cool ....
People say to my so your T2 you know you did to your self.
