So I have a few songs that I feel like describe my thoughts on diabetes well and I want to hear yours. One of mine is Mandisa's Stronger. It just fits the way I feel about fighting diabetes day in and day out. Another one is Plumb's Need you Now. I honestly don't think I'd ever connected that one to diabetes related stuff until one night last week when I woke up at 2:30am with a bg of 31. It took 30 mins to get it to 84 and while sitting there Need You Now was in my head.

What are the songs that help you?

Lately, I've been listening to this song a lot and thinking about diabetes/life:

I just put a diabetes playlist together a few weeks ago. It includes "Comeback Kid" (Brett Dennen), "One Day Like This" (Elbow) and "Santa Clause Gave Me Diabetes" (Stuckey & Murray) for some levity.

Bon Jovi It's My Life has always been my song. Diabetes can try and take from me but I'm still here, still living and have to live while I'm alive and not worry ALL the time about the future.

Beautiful by Christina Aguilera. When I was diagnosed a few years ago I was in the hospital with DKA. I felt ugly, horrible, and defective (because of Diabetes). But that song really got me through it all. Also, "Happy Face" by Destiny's Child.
