The kit/holder/container (whatever you want to call it) that I use to hold my glucometer and strips has a zipper that no longer works.... having an awful lot of trouble finding a new one.  Can anyone recommend a website I can go to (or maybe store?) to find a new one?  Otherwise, I think I may have found a new untapped market out there!

You can try Diabetes Designs... I never bought anything from there but I have looked at their products. http://www.diabetesdesigns.com/

I find a lot of good products at The Container Store. I've bought a lot of zipper pouches from there. http://www.containerstore.com/

Good luck!!
you can also contact the meter manufacturer as you may be able to get a replacement one from them if you liked the original design :)
These are probably bigger than what you want, but here is a link to American Diabetes Wholesale

I would like to get a "hard case" instead of the soft ones that some of the meters come with. Seems like it would make better sense if you are carrying something that could possibly get damaged in your bag.
I found one at Wal-Mart that I really like. It is a Wal-Mart brand bag for their meters. It comes with an Ice pack and the inside is adjustable depending on what type meter you have. It was under $8.00. Mine has my meter (Bayer USB), stips, lancet device, glucogon meter, insulin, epi pen, wipes, extra syringes and a log book. The only thing I do not like about it is it is black.

Small makeup bag. This way you can pick the size and shape that will work for you. I hate having to put things in the elastic straps that all of the diabetic cases have. This way it is colorful and does not get lost in the bottom of your purse like a black one would.

For a hard case try a music player, camera case or a game player case.
I second calling the meter manufacturer. When mine broke a few months ago, I called Lifescan and they shipped another out to me with a return envelope to return the defective case. No charge.
I got mine at Myabetic.com. They have really awesome stuff that is affordable and looks amazing.
There's a ton online, though I don't really like any of em... and many of em cost an arm and a leg. I think I might just custom make my own, one day...
I just looked at the site and I like their bags. Do you use it only for ur glucometer? I wanted something that would hold my pump supplies as well and wonder if there is enough room.
I found a great bag at http://www.zoesbagboutiqueshop.com It's called the morning glory clutch. She custom makes bags so she did this one just for my diabetes needs. It has 2 pockets on the inside, I use one for new needles and the other for trash. There is also a zipper on the outside for all the misc items. Plenty of room for everything. Have bought two of them, and she will make it in any fabric you like. I love mine!
GOODWILL!!!! Over in the purse section they have about a million cases, all different shapes, sizes and designs. Most cost about a dollar.
