(Sorry if this has already been discussed but i couldn't find it if it already has).Hi everyone, I just received my Omnipod start up kit yesterday. I am excited to use it but have to wait until my training next week. Anyway, I am a little confused on which test strips to use on the PDM. I have read several places that you can use only the original freestyle strips and then other places say you can use the freestyle lite strips even though they aren't FDA approved. Can anyone enlighten me on this and let me know exactly which ones I can use and not use? Thank you and have a blessed day :)

I know it's pretty confusing. I have been told that both the Freestyle and Freestyle Lite strips have been approved for use with the Omnipod by my Endo and by different pharmacists.

Where the confusion comes in is Abbot introduced new versions of the the Freestyle and Freestyle Lite (there is a butterfly on the box). The Omnipod is compatible with both the old and new versions of the Freestyle strips but not the Freestyle Lite.
Hopefully that makes sense
