Such a bummer- the Diabetes Training Camp cancelled its Berkshire / Jiminy Peak camp for September.

I recently met my first T1D. He is CRAZY and I'm afraid he doesn't take care of himself very well, but... he has kind of become a weekend friend when I hang out in groups of people. :) I don't think I can handle him by myself.

But, he is really open. The first night that I met him amongst some friends, he opened up and shot with Humalog KwikPen without any concern for who was watching, etc. I blushed because I was so envious of his not "hiding" it. Not many of my friends know that I'm sick.

So, just to prove I am capable of adapting and growing mentally, I used my Humalog KwikPen too. It was liberating.

Def. How about one of two options. We could do a little hike up Mount Tom (in Easthampton) or we could meet and plan future stuff at some place that either I or Holyoke or Springfield people could recommend.
