What is your favorite part of purim? Does diabetes change anything for you?
My favorite thing is giving out shalach manos. I especially like the opportunity to get back in contact with people I haven't seen in a while.
The biggest thing that diabetes changes for me is tanis esther. I lower my lantus a little bit the night before and generally skip breakfast but don't make it to the end of the fast- this year I barely made it until lunchtime. Diabetes also has made me decide it's not worth it to drink.
