I've used an Accu-Chek Compact Plus meter for the past few years. It's a great meter, since it's all-in-one. But I just learned that the test strips cost has increased roughly $45 in a single month.
At first, I assumed the price increase was due to some kind of change in coverage from my insurance company. But the insurance rep said the higher cost of the strips was/is straight from the manufacturer. So I called Accu-Chek, and the rep said they had simply increased the price of the Compact Plus strips. None of Accu-Chek's other meters increased in price at all; just the Compact Plus strips. Has anyone else noticed a price increase on these strips?
