I've used an Accu-Chek Compact Plus meter for the past few years. It's a great meter, since it's all-in-one. But I just learned that the test strips cost has increased roughly $45 in a single month.

At first, I assumed the price increase was due to some kind of change in coverage from my insurance company. But the insurance rep said the higher cost of the strips was/is straight from the manufacturer. So I called Accu-Chek, and the rep said they had simply increased the price of the Compact Plus strips. None of Accu-Chek's other meters increased in price at all; just the Compact Plus strips. Has anyone else noticed a price increase on these strips?

Thanks for getting back with me. I'm glad they were able to take care of you, though no one should be cranky.
Keep me posted how things go, and let me know if I can be of help.
Have a good weekend!

Already did, writing off this week of data, too suspect to me... They're sending a new drum, control solution which is nice! Either way, next batch strips - getting new meter -I always have a backup one, it's time to replace this one anyway! Ooh looking forward to that pleasure! Just depends on who I deal with - some good, some cranky! I deal with that in a couple of weeks!

Word of the day - electronic interference! Hmmm...

Anyone else having issues with accuracy or readings u know are just weird? Compact plus. Been getting strange numbers in this last drum after an E7 error, grrr.... Perhaps just me! Just perplexed after seeing numbers go from 6.8 to 3.9 where I would be expecting 5.3 to 5's... 3.9 changes to 4.9? Maybe it's heat, idk! I'll bug accukchek Ian am!
