hmmm. I'm still using Accu-Check Aviva. Just bought another one because my readings are getting higher and higher, especially in the morning. I only saw a little difference and put that down to just a difference in meters. What's the best one to use? I've never put my readings on my computer. hmm. Do you just enter them on a spread sheet, then get an average?

If you like the softclix, try the multiclix or fastclix... no needle wobble similar to the delica but with a different mechanism...

Hello,
We are new to accu-check. My daughter's insurance won't cover the One-touch test strips for her new minimed revel (with the one touch mini link). We had 2 choices. The Contour or accu-check meter. I had no idea which to choose from so I went to a local pharmacy and purchaes the compact plus. What a suprising delight for Mary!!
She LOVES it. When comparing the one touch delica lancets to the softclix - softclix is actually much, much better!! (I didn't think anything could get better than the delica)! Not only that, she can do everything with one hand. Even though we will have to manually enter in her sugar results to the meter, in the long run, we are very content!!

Thanks for the comment. I have several meters, but the Accu-chek Aviva is my favorite. I test 4-5 times daily and the lancet device is less painful thank the others I've used.

Have had an Aviva for about two years. Guess it works okay. Kind of wish all the meters now were like whatever the very first one of whatever type it was as it had colours on the side of the strip container and if the meter stopped working you could do a visual color comparison so that you wouldn't be left high and dry. (actually have a Contour meter that came with the CGM that I have and at least with the Contour you can program it to talk to the monitor when you have to program BG readings into it. The Aviva you have to do it manually.Don't use the Contour meter as the strips that came with it have run out and don't need both.)
