Is anyone else having issues with their Ping and the color paint chipping off? My pink has three spots that are now black and my pump is less than a year old.
Wishing I had gone with the basic black color now - if the color will not hold on the pump.

Personally I hated the skins as they are so bulky and hard to put on and take off without cracking. I've had my Ping two years now and don't have any cracks. Mine is blue; maybe it's the lighter color? Have you spoken to Animas? Not sure if they will do anything about it or not, but couldn't hurt.
Permalink Reply by gw on January 31, 2013 at 2:51pm my ping is in awful condition, i have the skin protector as well. started green, is chipped and peeling all over the place, the black protector has leeched black onto the pump, making it kind of an abstract art piece. they claim its waterproof but im not so sure, it seems like its more water resistant, as the paint is probably peeling due to showering with it, or maybe its my sweat?
there is also a crack in the pump wear the batter cap screws on, and i have no idea why.
that being said it is still pumping strong! but you'd expect for the advertised value of being waterproof that the paint would be stronger, especially considering how much these things cost!
