I have been finding about 1 out of every 10 reservoirs bearing Lot #B201717 (expiry date 2013-07) to be defective. The pistons are frozen in place or very difficult to move. My call to Animas had them interested, but they were unable to confirm anyone else was having a problem.

Anyone here seeing the same thing?

Have seen random reservoirs balky. Have not had any not cured by lubricating with insulin - fill with 200 units and push in and out from reservoir to bottle and back 3-4 times. Keep on Animas. Also, do an FDA MedWatch - PRODUCT if you are stateside.

I will start paying attention. I haven't had any problems but not sure I have had that batch number.

I opened a reservoir on Tuesday that had a piston that was very hard to move, I cycled it back and forth a few times and it didn't get any easier, so I discarded it. But mine was a different lot from yours. Mine was lot #B201762 (exp. 2013-10).

I've had that happen once. I have also had the whole inserter fall apart when I had pulled it out. That was also annoying and has happened more than once.
