So the warranty on my current Animas pump expired in November 2009. Usually my pumps only last me about 6 months before I need it to be replaced from normal wear and tear - the rubber over the buttons comes off or the battery case winds up cracked or something - My daily life is pretty physical and my pump gets the brunt of the hits.
So, now it's finally falling apart.
We put the call into Animas to get it figured out how much we'll owe after the co-pay and old pump trade-ins and all that jazz.
When I got my first pump I was still under my parents' insurance and everything was handled super quick and easy.
Our current insurance is notoriously hard to get a hold of the right people who know any thing. Animas told me it usually takes them no more than 48 hours but when I called to check on it they still hadn't got a hold of the insurance company to verify everything.
I know my insurance will cover it. How long did it take all of you to get your pump when you started the process?
