I got a call from Animas for an "exciting opportunity". Back in Feb the screw on my lowprofile clip started backing out. I complained about the design of the clip. Well, apparently they are designing a rotating clip and called me to test it out. All I have to do is fill out a few surveys. I should get it some time next week. Anyone else get a call from them to try it out?

Coffee, If this works you should send it to Animas, the rotating clip in this forum failed and will not be released to the public. They are currently in the process of designing another clip. Hope yours works!
Just received a new rotating clip. They called on Wednesday asking if I want to give a new design a try. I had to go to work before I had enough time to get a good look at the clip. As soon as I can, I'll snap some more pictures. It looks much more slim line than the other rotating clip. But again, it's plastic, so we'll see how durable it is.

Yes - I tried the other rotating clip - and I actually liked it better than the metal one. I am getting the new rotating clip in the mail next week to try for 2 weeks......I hope its a good one! I really dislike the metal option....it only lasts 2 months if I am lucky. We shall see!

What website do I need to go on to get a rotating clip?

Right now we are in a "test group" to see if the rotating clips are good. So far there is not a rotating clip out on the market for sale for our pumps....hopefully soon!

I would be interested in trying that rotating clip. I like new idea stuff.

If that screw ever began to back out on me, I would put a drop of Locktite on the treads and screw it back in. It would not come loose again.

Well, had the clip for a little over 2 weeks and it snapped:( Looks like its back to the drawing board.

boo - sorry to hear. so far my clip has not snapped yet. .......

Remember a clip that breaks is a success of the safety feature, i.e. it's much easier to repair a broken clip than the mounting location on the back of the pump. I've used the plastic piece from the low profile metal clip and used it with both the metal clip and my homemade rotating carbon fiber clip for almost six months with no issues. How exactly are you removing your pump from your belt or clip location? You should be pulling straight up and not up and away. Try both of those methods with a pen clip, i.e. which method ensures breaking the pen clip lifting it straight out of a pocket or lifting while pulling away?

this clip was completely different than the low profile clip and did not have anything to do with how it was removed. It was a weak point on the clip itself that caused it to break.

I know its been a while since anyone posted on this thread but has anyone received word about a third clip design? I have tried the first two but they both broke within 2 weeks of wearing them. Just wondering if Animas has a third one out yet and if anyone has heard from them.

I saw a rep last month. They are 'working on it'.

So now you know as much as you did :)
