Comment by Ramon on January 26, 2012 at 5:54pm 1. I try to keep it under 18 units in 1 dose.
2. Novalog
3. 2 1/2 days max. The site starts to hurt after about 48 hours.
4. The 23 in. Inset.
1. 6 units
2 Apidra
3. 3 days, 4 if I all is well; but I lose sets right away or after a day at times. In response to the OP, when it continues to hurt like that I usually know the set isn't good and wait through one meal to see.
4.I use the inset 30's 43"
Comment by paul on January 26, 2012 at 5:31pm Hi Florian,
I'm new here, and from Canada, so take my information with a pinch of salt and any necessary conversion factors:
1. about 14, for a mighty big pizza & garlic bread night
2. Novorapid
3. 3 days minimum,4 days if I can eke out the insulin, but no more
4. Inset II, 6mm 0.30u cannula
Comment by Beth on January 26, 2012 at 4:49pm Hi my name is Beth My son Richard is on the ping and my Daughter Heather is on the 2020 Pump

2. Novolog
3. 3 days some times less if they have any problems we change it
4. They both use Inset 23in. one green and one pink
Comment by Annabella on January 26, 2012 at 4:40pm Hi Florian
To answer your questions:
1. I think 5 units, but I use very insulin, TDD of about 20 units.
2 Novolog
3. 4 days sometimes less if I'm having problems
4. Inset, Comfort Short or Inset30 depending where in my body I am going to stick it.
Comment by Florian Menninger Jr on January 26, 2012 at 3:27pm Hi Animas Pumpers, I use the Animas PING filled with Novolog, INSETS, and the remote for my blood sugar control. I haven't had any problems with what I've been doing but I have a few question for the Animas pumpers that I hope you will answer.
1. What is the largest Normal Bolus that you have given yourself?
2. What insulin do you use?
3. How many days do you use an Infusion Set?
4. What kind of infusion set do you use?
Thanks everyone

Has anyone seen this?

Comment by jrtpup on December 28, 2011 at 11:01pm Can't wait for the Vibe, the screen on the Ping remote can be difficult to read. I actually wore dresses on the cruise a few times, so the remote was even more useful than usual. Don't know if anyone would have enjoyed watching me pull my Ping out of my bra LOL
Hi jrtpup: I think you went on your Caribbean trip just after me! I was there Dec 3-10, on a Windstar cruise. Simply wonderful. I read the Ping manual and watched the video, and have been using it for awhile. It is great. The RF with the meter is a nice feature, but all in all it is not too different than the 2020. Me, I really want the Animas Vibe!
