Comment by DiabeticalTez on July 25, 2012 at 1:35pm are there any ex-medtronic users in here? i need help! i have beed using the mini med since Oct 2011. at the time i really wanted to go with animas, but wasn't too sure. now that i know how my life is with a pump, i am really leaning towards animas now. i just love the apps that come with the meter and just the style and look of the pump. So can someone please comment back on this!! i really need some help with the decision! Thanks!

Comment by jrtpup on July 24, 2012 at 11:04pm Congrats! I love my Ping, I'm sure you will too :)
I have a few different cases/pouches for different uses. If you bring the ping with you shopping, you'll find it'll fit in a number of cell phone cases.
Putting it in a baby sock and attaching inside your clothes with a safety pin is one of my favorite 'cases'.
Comment by Howiewho on July 24, 2012 at 8:42pm Just wanted all to know that I was hooked up today with my one touch ping and so far it seems to be working great . I am on the U500 insulin so we ( trainer and I ) are taking it slow with the flow rates . Also I am looking for a case for the pump , not sure if I want a belly band one or what . Will try and keep all updated . Roger
Also, Animas themselves give discounts for people with low income so if that is a possibility for you do apply. I pay 20% of the cost for Animas supplies on my insurance and then Animas gives me another 30% off that.

Comment by Ron Doyle on July 7, 2012 at 10:50am Since I am going back to Animas from Omnipod (you can only get supplies from them) I want to know where you get your supplies at the best price. I did use "Liberty Medical" before. I just heard about "Total Diabetes Supply" but they won't answer their contact links.
Suggestions?
Congrats to you and the kidlet!
Comment by Alissa on May 24, 2012 at 12:46pm It's Naomi's 1 YR PUMPIVERSARY! A1C went down .8!!
Actually it stays put just fine tucked into a waist band. But that makes it harder that you sleep on both stomach and back! But actually I don't think it hurts it to sleep on it and isn't even as uncomfortable as it sounds. So I would just hook it to which ever part you spend less time on. You can also hook it somewhere between a side and the back and that way you'll never be 100% sleeping on it, but more on an angle. You'll figure out what works best for you with trial and error...like most things D related!
Comment by Maycri on May 19, 2012 at 12:32pm I start on my back, then roll to my sides and wake up on my stomach with slobber on my pillow and either no blankets or all of the blankets and a grumpy husband...
I think i'm going to try one of those elastic bands that keep it tight against you, lest my husband wake up with tubing around his neck!
