I can't afford it right now (please see blog) but I am wishing for a pump and I think this is the one I would chose if I could get one...

My 6 year old just started on her pink Ping yesterday. So far so good - she's adjusting pretty well after 4 years of shots. I love being able to give her bolus with the remote!

Hey gw,
You don't have to take the skin off, to change the cartridge, but you do have to remove it to replace the battery (but even then, you don't have to remove the entire skin - you can just peel it partially back)

PJ...are you pulling the inset needle away from your skin using the center white piece? There's no need to hold the outer plastic part while pulling.

Another option would be to find a diabetic supply site that's selling the Cleo 90 infusion set's used with the Deltec Cozmo pump. These infusion sets have a luer lock connection, so they'll mate up with the cartridge used by the Ping and Animas 2020.

The Cleo device is much smaller, and has a spring loaded delivery device to punch the canula into your skin. I used them with my Cozmo for years without difficulty, and like you, it's taken me while to get used to using the 9mm inset device with my Ping

Hi Mandy, do you have to remove the skin to change the cartridge, or the battery?

I got a free pump skin at CWD, and I have to say I really like it. It's pretty snug, so I'm not worried about water, but it does make the pump a good bit bigger. Wish they had one for the meter too!

Anyone used the new Animas Pump Skins? Thoughts, comments, reviews etc?
I liked the way the camo color looks but thought it might let water get trapped near the pump on occasion...

Hi: New here! I thought I'd join this group as this week I ought to be scheduling delivery of my new pink ping (for a Cozmo swap)!
