Permalink Reply by Christopher Angell on September 1, 2012 at 6:38pm No Natalie, it's not, you still need a waterproof case for the Dexcom. The Spi is just a convenient way to attach it to your body if you're wearing a wetsuit (or other clothing without pockets).
