I'm curious -- how much higher do you have to set your basal?

Comment by melindalaw on April 15, 2013 at 7:38am

Stress. Hmm. The best way to figure that out is if the stress might last awhile, like if I am in trial. I think I have set my basal a little higher, for the time in question, starting an hour an a half before. The trick is to not set it too high because then you can go low.
I use to laugh about figuring out how to dosage for stress because there is so much of it, I just felt like it is the norm, but I think trial is probably a good example.

I'm a newly diagnosed T1/T1.5/LADA diabetic, and I thought I'd start a group to bring together folks who are struggling to cope with diabetes in the face of stress, an unpredictable schedule, and sleep deprivation. Attorneys are a proud bunch, but we need each others' support!
