Hello everyone, I'm new to the forum and I'm interested to know if anyone else has multiple diagnosis' other than T1 and Autism. My 10 year old son born 09/2003 missing a kidney, had chronic pneumonia for years with a suspected immune disorder (none of his immunizations took affect) diagnosed Autistic 02/2006 and diagnosed T1diabetic 07/2011, ADHD and anxiety disorder 01/2013 with lots of other odd little issues like scalloping of his vertabre, thyroid anti bodies and is currently being evaluted for either OCD or some related paranoid disorder. I'm interested to hear others stories and if anyone else is dealing with a new diagnosis per year as it seems we are. I would guess it's a genetic syndrome of some sort but testing so far hasn't turned up any links.

My so Aidan was just dx last month. We are having difficulties at meal time. Aidan is 9 years old and on the middle of the Autism spectrum. At meals he will tell us what he wants to eat, we will calculate carbs, give humalog etc. Sometimes he will eat all his food, but often he will eat only a few bites or 1/2 the meal. It scares the crap out of me bc we have already given insulin and I know how serious lows can be. He is verbal but is unable to tell us when he is feeling unwell. Any advice???

i dont have autism but my aunt has down syndrom and my mom works at a middle school with autism. I dont see why people treat them differently. they're just like us, mabey even cooler. i hate it when my mom comes hom and tells me some kid was bulling a kid with autism. i feel so bad for that person, People with autism are just more unique
