Comment by Clare on December 4, 2012 at 8:34am I don't do meetup so it is easier for me to just join this group here. Glad to know there is a group of fellow Bostonians I'm sure there are more of us locally, I just haven't checked. I am not a pumper but I did Patty the local Dexcom rep when I got my G4 last month.

I believe the Abbott Rep will be at the meeting to talk about some of their new products. Come and join a very friendly, sociable, fun, intersting, and knowledgable group of Type 1 insulin pumpers. I will be there.
Comment by Florian Menninger Jr on July 13, 2012 at 6:38am Hi Boston Buddies,
Is everybody here gone for the summer? It's awfully quiet.
Just a quick reminder to those living in the Boston area and suburbs that the July MA Pumpers meeting will be held tomorrow (Sat 7/14) in Woburn. The directions can be found in my comment below. The meetings start around 9:30 am and last until 11:30 to 12 pm. We usually go out to lunch at a nearby restaurant after the meeting. Come and join us and meet some new friends who are dealing with all the same issues that you are. This will be my first meeting back since I fell and fractured my hip last Jan. I am walking (with a limp) and driving now.
My rehab is going well and I expect to be walking normally and riding my bike by the end of the summer. I'm looking forward to doing the bike rides in the fall with the group of T1's that I ride with on the bike trails of MA, CT, and RI.
Come and join us and meet some new T1 friends.

Comment by Patrickmind on February 13, 2012 at 5:35pm Hey team:
Join my new group the New England Diabetes Nerds for Yoga on February 18th @ 4PM and February 26th @ 12PM around downtown Boston. We have amazing camaraderie and the 26th I will be presenting some new information of upcoming events that could improve your A1C and morale for diabetes. You don't want to miss it! Patrick
Comment by Patrickmind on January 11, 2012 at 8:41pm Hey folks:
If you are up for traveling into Boston I just took over a group and re-energized it towards a T1 Diabetes meetup group. We are meeting Jan 29th in downtown. Details can be found here, you will need to sign in/join meetup.com but there is no charge for it. We already have 6 RSVP's in 1 week alone!

Comment by Florian Menninger Jr on January 4, 2012 at 8:59am Hello Boston Buddies,
MA Pumpers monthly insulin-pumpers support group meeting will be held on Saturday Jan. 14th from 9:30 AM til noon at Baldwin Park 1 in Woburn (directions below).
If you've not yet made it to any of our meetings this is the one you don't want to miss! We are a small, informal, and welcoming group. All pumpers, potential pumpers and support people are welcome.
Guest speaker this month is Laura Menninger, Diabetes Comedienne The LIVabetes Glucose Goddess (www,LIVabetes.com).To borrow a little bit of info directly from Laura herself, Laura's performances are rich in humor and practical wisdom. She offers comic relief to what is otherwise a very serious disease.
As a person with type 1 diabetes, she describes herself as a "stand-with" rather than "stand-up" comedienne as her presentations are built on her own personal transformational journey "from DIabetes to LIVabetes".Please contact me with any questions or to RSVP. I'd appreciate RSVPs from anyone who is coming this month as I want to be sure we have enough room. (dgm555@verizon.net)Hope to see you there!

Comment by Florian Menninger Jr on December 29, 2011 at 3:59pm Hi Boston Buddies,
For those of you who will be hanging around here for the winter why don't you think about coming to the MA Pumpers Support Group meeting on Sat Jan 14 in Woburn. Its easy to get to, right off Rte 128/95. and you don't have to be a pumper to attend the meeting. There is a rumor about that we will have a very special guest and presentation at the meeting. I would mark the date on your new 2012 calendar, Jan 14, and make plans to go.You won't be disappointed. A bunch of us have been going to the Beacon Grill for lunch after the meeting. Come an join us..
