Hello, I'm on Glucophage 1000 MG at breakfast and dinner and was on the Byetta 10, but was seriously going low after dinner usually. strangely enough not usually at breakfast. So never failed, usually as low as 70 or 60. I didn't handle it well as it took way too much to bring up, i usually ate ice cream. but there were times where i'd try anything to bring it up.
I've switched to Byetta 5 now. I tried cutting the Glucophage, halving it , no Byetta, and one click-with just expressing the rest.
I was keeping a log. It seemed I couldn't just cut the Byetta completely as 1- i was STARVING! and 2- my BGS were too high. (though I'm sure my Endo would say i'm just stressing LOL) especially the fasting. So... not taking quite the full Byetta 10 seemed to work. Thats why I switched to the 5.

I've never heard of anyone going DOWN on Byetta and i've never heard of the serious lows either. OH i didn't seem to matter if i ate tons of carbs- Chicken fried steak, gravy, hashbrowns, toast etc. or:
steak with salad and a few croutons.

So....Any ideas? or just don't worry about it LOL

My last A1C was 6.6

Actually many people have reported going low on Byetta, especially if you eat a carb heavy meal. I have switched to Victoza, but I would occasionally go as low as 40-50. A low of 60 or 70 did not affect me, but going in the 40's did. You might try eating less carbs, and see how you do.
