Okay.I have previously taken metformin and byetta combination.I have since gone back to victoza, and now due to insurance fail am taking bydureon once weekly shots with the metformin regimin. Another fail. Blood sugars are high and I am very sluggish and tired. A1c is likely to skyrocket. My other "choice" is back to the byetta.

Newbie here ! So glad to find this site. Diagnosed Sept 2011 with Type 2. Put on 1000mg Metformin. In Dec put on 2000 mg Metformin plus 5 mcg Byetta. Felt better and started losing weight. In April started having serious bathroom issues. Doc said, cut Metformin back to 1000 mg per day and keep taking Byetta. Well, it seems, now I am not losing weight even tho Byetta was prescribed solely for that reason. Anybody having any of these symptoms? Any advice? thanks.

Great that it is working just be careful as my numbers dropped a great deal with the new combo of meds. I will suggest that you keep some carb tabs with you as each of these have different peak times and there are many little things to learn about an injectable such as where you inject and the reaction time it takes for me this is important as I use different ones everyday.

Phil, Thanks so much. I am finding out that I need to check. When I stopped the Metformin and did Leve. 8 units it wasn't keeping my reading below 150. I increased to 10U and down to 130 fasting. I added a Metformin this AM and and going to use Leve 8U with another Metformin in PM. I'll watch this for a few days. I really appreciate your info.
