TuDiabetes - A Community for People Touched by Diabetes

Hey, I am not Canadian, but I LOVE Canadian bands.

Here are some of my favorites:
-Broken Social Scene (K.C. Accidental, Apostle of Hustle)
-The Dears
-Godspeed! You Black Emperor
-The Arcade Fire
-The Besnard Lakes
-Feist, Emily Haines (Metric)
-Stars
-The New Pornographers
-Great Lake Swimmers

Today, I learned that Stars released a new album ("In Our Bedroom After the War") this week. I am very happy about it.

I hope I am not alone on this! :)

L-o-v-e Rufus, his voice simply washes over you..."Le Vent du Nord" is great, superb beat Quebequois style.....and if you're into ancient music, lend an ear to Suzie LeBlanc (soprano), her style is so provocative, she is so passionate.

And how about our Country singer George Canyon , originally from Nova Scotia , now living in the Alberta Rockies with wife Jen and 2 kids .George has been living with type 1 diabetes since 15 years of age, maybe he is close to 40 now.He is an insulin pumper for about three years and is touring BC , with a sold out theatre in Vernon this past week .Animas had a MEET and GREET with George for type 1 kids prior to his show .This 68 year old kid now posseses his autographed picture and " WHAT I DO " CD . I believe , he is involved with World Vision too . Maybe someone can verify ?
