TuDiabetes - A Community for People Touched by Diabetes

I read the "where in Canada are you?" thread and I have sent messages to a couple of you. I'm trying to get a group of adults with Type 1 together to meet up here in Victoria. Meeting people here on TuD is nice, but I'd love to meet some T1 adults in person. Any takers?

rainbowgoddess..darn , no , I am too far from Victoria...and I am somewhat amazed , that you never were able to get in touch with adult type 1-ers in big city Victoria ...about 20 people here in SA are pumpers; mind you most pumpers do not like to come to meetings either, however we do make some connections sometimes .. there is a type 1 support group in Vancouver ...does not help YOU though ...So folks from Victoria area : get something going and challenge the Vancouver support group. I know you have our Olympic Rower Chris Jarvis , type 1 , living in Victoria ..Chris has signed up with Team Diabetes for the Victoria Marathon , October 11, 2009 ...he promised me at a meeting in Vancouver , BC , that he will " carry " me accross the finish line !! How about that ??
