Does anyone know if there is any organization in Canada that will take insulin pens, needles and other diabetic equipment. Hate to just throw them out.
Contact your local Diabetes Education Centre, maybe they will take stuff for patients who don't have insurance for their supplies. Also, look for churches that do missionary work in other countries, often they will take medical supplies/equipment. Glad you're thinking of others!!
Your local diabetic Nurse or Hospital teaching unit will often take them so they can be used for training purposes. They cannot be used again in full service as there is no way to guarantee their accuracy. Ask any one of your local Diabetic Groups what they suggest.
Good idea Frank. Thanks for your reply.
I asked recently at our local Clinic as I was given " stuff " by someone .They will not use as they are concerned about " stuff" being contaminated
