I recently entered a contest for women who have achieved and overcame something in their lives, and I decided to write about my diagnosis of diabetes. If you can please vote for me, I may have a chance to win, which would help me afford a pump so I don`t have to do MDI`s forever! Thanks! You can find it at the link below, and you can vote once per day! Every vote helps!

Here it is...

Thanks Peetie for suggesting to ChristineLynn to post in the Canadian Group as well .
I voted !
Bayer is a sponsor ...my Glucometer is a Bayer product...by golly , I hope , that helps the voting process :)
On the side ...you may want to advocate for insulin pumps in your province !!! ...A buddy of mine, BJ , posted more about that in the Canadian Group .
I voted again today. We can vote everyday. I posted it to my Facebook Wall too. Hope that helps. Cheers! Joanne
"it" asks me to join Facebook in order to vote. Is there some other way to vote that I don't have to jump on that social network just yet?

Also, do you want any editing help with your letter? There are a few small syntax/spelling errors if you'd like to fix it up purdy... Maybe it doesn't matter and that's fine too, but let me know if you'd like a little help. This is not to criticize your letter at all. I think you've said what you want to say BEAUTIFULLY... and I just want it to be perfect in terms of spelling and grammar too. Some contests might take that kind of picky stuff into consideration. Whatever helps you to win!
Bikette: I copied this reply from Kelly on the General Forum re:voting without FB

I voted and it didn't even ask for the FB login. Not sure what I did other than burn the hamburger I was cooking to figure out the math question! It asked name, email & phone number. It was the selection on the left for new user.
Zoe also was able to vote without FB. She said she just clicked on "Vote for this story".
Thanks Peetie - it was asking me to register at that site if I didn't have Facebook and I'm a little over-suspicious of signing up for just about anything anymore... So I did click on the 'register to vote' and filled that in with no problem.
Deed is done.... for today.
:D
Done :)
We can vote once a day. Don't forget to vote today!
Has anyone here used the " become inspired " button regarding the facebook page ...especially " our " favourite contestant " ???
I have been looking for you , ChristineLynn :)
I voted today. Took 2 attempts.
Christinelynn: Kelly WPA ...the one who burned her food.... is an American. If you want to respond to her she is on the the first discussion that you posted. I just copied her response here for Bikette. Kelly is T1. Even though I'm T2 , she has provided me with so much useful information. If you have questions about insulin etc. you might want to reach out to her. Of course Nel is a representative for the CDA. She is also T1. She can provide you with a wealth of info. Joanne
