Your Welcome Nel. They should have had the whole map of Canada in the display area. Oh well, at least when you click on the ( - ) on the left, it zooms out so you can see the whole country. The map is dragable plus when you click on the red dots you can see that area better.

Yes, it does look cold up there. I'm sure the polar bears are Happy though. Glad that we live in the southern region. We had 16 c high today.

That's Neat that Don will be part of the Security Team. That will be Great for the 2 of you's to hook up. I hope that you will find each other easily. Tell Don to wear a hot pink hat with a neon green feather. Yes, I know those colours clash, :D

I hope you and others here who attend will post your experiences and a few photos here. I can't wait to hear about it.

Okay, I suppose instead of the media saying that they are expecting 30 medals, they should have said they are praying to win 30 medals. We haven't had that many before. Correct me if I'm wrong.

They've been showing some of the People carrying the Torch on tv. I was wondering. Do you all run the same amount of distance?? We'll be cheering for you on January 27th. :)

I visited www.diabetes.ca website today ...headline : November 15, Cornerbrook , Nf/Lab : 20 Diabetes Motivators ( volunteers, and educators ) will participate in the Olympic Torch Relay . Each one displays an ongoing commitment to healthy living and to building healthy , thriving communities.
I will be watching the tube for a bit ...I know at least one of these 20 motivators .

Nel, I just looked at the first map at the top. I'm confused! Not unusual, I know.

The Torch landed in BC from Greece. Right? According to the map, the Torch is in Nova Scotia. How and why, did that happen?

Reply to This

Yes, in Victoria, BC ...then it travelled Vancouver Island (North) , across the inlet to Powel River , into Yukon , NW territories , Northern AB , Man....... Nunavut , then NF/Lab ...the easiest place to follow( or back track ) is by clicking on the first link you provided ...interactive map ..click on dates/advance or go backwards.
From now on in more people will be carrying ..I read somewhere 40,000 k ( ??) will be covered with lots of communities included ,rather than the shortest route by TCH and a total of 12,000 people , who carry , to finish in Vancouver .
Is it a bit clearer Terrie ??
