Hi Nel!!! :)

Thank you!! We Appreciate it! Wishing you and Gordon all the Best of Life in 2013, from us in the south eastern coast. Okay...LOL...we're not near a coast but doing okay somewhere inbetween. :D Hugs from T.

These are the accuracy figures claimed for the Contour Next EZ

Check the Contour Next EZ User Guide Pages 49 and 50.

I get my diabetes supplies from the Save on Foods pharmacy on Cambie Street in Vancouver. I noticed early on a sign saying that current rules do not allow for the rewarding of store points or gifts/reimbursement for items covered in entirety by pharmacare. To me that sounds quite reasonable. I'm happy to live somewhere where seniors are provided with free medications. Expecting to get rewarded because I choose to get my free, government funded meds at a particular pharmacy sounds just plain greedy to me.

I saw this meter at the October Vancouver CDA's NAGM and Professional Conference ; was told 15 percent accuracy ??? ..I found this on their website The current ISO 15197:2003 accuracy criteria require 95 percent of test results to fall within +/- 15 mg/dL for blood glucose concentrations < 75 mg/dL and within +/- 20 percent for blood glucose concentrations of >/= 75 mg/dL.

The more stringent criteria applied in this study required 95 percent of test results to fall within +/- 15 mg/dL for blood glucose concentrations < 100 mg/dL and within +/- 15 percent for blood glucose concentrations >/= 100 md/dL.
I am confused with the info you provided :)??

I have been using a Contour Link glucometer with my Medtronic Pump. I have the RF link turned on all the time since I stopped using the CGMS.

I just got the new Contour Next EZ which uses new strips and is claimed to have 5% accuracy. For pumpers there is the Contour Next Link USB which looks real smart. Unfortunately it's not approved in Canada yet.

The new Contours are claimed to be especially accurate at hypoglycemic levels which I think is very important.
